All throughout the fuel delivery and storage infrastructure, water and other contaminants enter the fuel through venting systems. These contaminants cause rapid deterioration of the fuel, leading to fuel filters plugging rapidly, as well as improper combustion. High Efficiency Tier 4 fuel filters are especially susceptible to plugging from small particles, including gums.
Fuel contamination can also cause severe corrosion of the metallic components in the fuel tank, as well as compromise the structural integrity of steel-walled tanks. During fuel motion, SOLTRON® disperses water as very small, harmless drops, drying out the fuel as it is consumed. Sludge and other particulates are also broken down and dispersed, cleaning the fuel tank.
